OmniFlow Joined Discussions in Smart Traffic event in Riga

OmniFlow was presented at Smart Traffic: Data, Control, Development in Riga, joining experts to discuss the growing role of data in mobility planning. The project introduced how aggregated mobile network data can complement traditional traffic sensors and provide a broader picture of mobility patterns.

Good traffic decisions start with good data. But no single data source can show the whole picture.

This was one of the key themes at Smart Traffic: Data, Control, Development, held last week at the Riga Motor Museum, where transport professionals, public authorities and technology experts came together to discuss how data is already changing the way mobility is understood and managed.

OmniFlow joined the conversation with the presentation “The traffic that slips past sensors”, delivered by our consortium coordinator Katrina Anna Ozola.

Physical traffic sensors provide valuable information about what happens at specific locations. OmniFlow is exploring how aggregated mobile network data can complement this information, helping fill some of the gaps between individual monitoring points and provide a broader understanding of mobility and traffic patterns.

Thank you to Fits Traffic and dots. for bringing the community together in Riga and giving OmniFlow the opportunity to contribute to the discussion.
